What a wonderful site, i've been researching for quite some time, preparing artwork for St. Pius X h.s. in Pottstown, Pa and this is the first & finest example of Pius X coat of arms. I'm still looking for a description. keep up the good work.

I think your site is just wonderful and I can hardly wait to
visit Rome again at the end of September, armed with all this incredible information. You are so generous to
share it with the world! Perhaps you can identify a church for me which I noticed briefly on our last visit to
Rome. We were on a guided tour (just excellent for an
introduction to this city) and I noticed a large bee
(Urban VIII) on a church just to the right, I think, of the forum. I haven't been able to identify the church from
my guide books. Can you help me? Also do you know of any good books in English which deal with families
and their stemma - particularly interestsed in Florence, Rome and Venice. I'm still searching for what is on
your site not related to Rome and Italy. (Avignon is the
only thing I have come up with so far, but that does have something to do with the Popes!
Needless to say I will be revisiting your site many times in the future.
THANK YOU
Rosamie.
P.S. I'm from Scotland originally so I guess my
interest in stemma must come from "clans and crests
of Scotland:".

It interested me a lot. It is very hard to find any valid information about the Vatican City. There are only two sites that I could find that talks about the Vatican also historicaly and as a State and not only from the religiouss point of view.
Ref. the question the only thing not related are the advertisements.

I liked the site, lots of pictures.
All of the pictures really slowed down my machine. Maybe more basic, not-so-fancy, background would fix it, I dont know. I enjoyed my stay.

Great sight for a poor Australian many miles from Rome!
I have just completed a revision of Blunts "Guide to Baroque Rome", well the church sections of it - my research covers from 1527 to 1870 but I think the publisher wants to trim it down to the baroque. You may be interested in a copy - any way let me know
Best wishes
Michael

Some of your backgrounds are too busy and the print is rather light so it is hard to read the text. Have you been to Rome? Any suggestions for a first-timer? I plan to visit in October this year.

A wonderful site, which I am looking forward to exploring
in more depth. However, I have found the backgrounds to be
quite distracting and make the text very difficult to read.
You may wish to consider a more subdued background, or at
least the brick wallpaper that you used for the "Plan" page.
Overall, excellent work!
