This quadrant covers the most inhabited part of Rome during the rule of the Popes. Today the area between St Peter's and Castel Sant'Angelo looks very different, with a large street linking the two, but in general you would not have great difficulties in moving around Rome with the help of this map. The buildings are linked to a page where they are shown. The names of the popes are linked to a page where their coat of arms is shown or to the catalog of the coats of arms.
